Expansion water-based activities.

Expansion water-based activities.

In order to expand our water-based activities we will be adding a brand new work vessel to our fleet. At this moment, in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht at Groeneveldt Marine Constructions, a brand new floating workshop is being built for us.

This vessel, called GSNED17, will be fully built to our wishes and the latest environmental and Dutch OHS requirements and will be perfectly equipped for our CPT and geotechnical drilling activities on water.

The new vessel will be 20 meters long and 6 meters wide. The propulsion is guaranteed by two engines with a combined power output of 600 hp. In order to be able to position the vessel flawlessly it is also equipped with a bow thruster.

Furthermore the vessel will be equipped with a heavy 45 ton / meter crane including winch, own hydraulics for the propultion of a CPT and / or drilling derrick, standard anchoring poles of 16 meters long which can be extended a furhter 6 meters. During the trip these anchoring poles can be hydraulically folded down thus reducing the vessel's height and travel times which results in reduced waiting hours for bridges.

In the deck facilities are provided for securing the CPT equipment and drilling derrick. In this manner this equipment can be removed quickly and the vessel can serve a variety of other purposes.

Our new acquisition is expected to be delivered sailworthy in Terneuzen before the end of November. We will keep you informed.
